Basswood is the real wood venetian blind that follows a design that has been around for centuries – the first venetian blinds were made from wood! Beautiful and lightweight, basswood is a firm favourite among woodworkers. It is straight and evenly textured and can be found in drums, guitars and even canoes – even Bronze Age people used it! However, these blinds are a firm 21^st Century favourite. Choose from a selection of colours matching this blind to traditional, rustic, contemporary or corporate settings alike.

For spaces that meet humidity or extreme changes in temperature, faux wood venetian blinds would be the better choice. Moisture and strong UV exposure can warp real wood blinds but faux wood can take such extremes.

Although heavier than real wood blinds, faux wood is easy to clean and looks just like the real thing.
