So, you have a large window recess in your home, so large in fact that a single blind won\u2019t do that job? That\u2019s a pretty big window recess, especially when you consider we can make our wide roller blinds up to 4.85m wide<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Anyway, let\u2019s not sidetracked talking about how big our blinds can go, let\u2019s talk about your gigantic window recess shall we?<\/p>\n

You should know by now that if you\u2019re installing a blind within your window\u2019s recess, you will first need to measure the recess (please consult our measuring guides<\/a>), then when you come to order you just need to select \u2018recess fit\u2019 when you\u2019re ordering your blinds, so that we can make deductions to ensure that your blind and it\u2019s brackets fit in the recess, but things get a tad more complicated when you\u2019re putting more than two blinds in a single recess.<\/p>\n

Fitting two blinds in a single recess<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Let\u2019s start off with an easy one, if you\u2019re going to be installing two separate blinds in a single recess space, all you need to do is measure the recess\u2019s width and then divide that by two (for example, a 5m recess works out to two blinds 2.5m wide each) to work out your measurements.<\/p>\n

Then when you come to ordering the blinds, make sure you order them both as \u2018recess fit\u2019 so that we can make the deductions to ensure the blinds and all their hardware will fit in the space \u2013 That\u2019s easy right!<\/p>\n

Fitting more than two blinds in a single recess<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Now, when you\u2019re fitting more than two blinds in a single recess, things get a tad more complicated. You\u2019ll want to measure the recess in the same way and divide the width by how many blinds you\u2019ll be using in the space (for example, a 5m recess works out to five blinds 1m wide each) to work out your measurements.<\/p>\n

Then when you come to order blinds, you will want to order the blind at either side of the recess as \u2018recess fit\u2019 (for example, when ordering five blinds, the blind furthest left and the blind furthest right should be recess fit) and the rest of the blinds which will be in the middle as \u2018exact fit\u2019.<\/p>\n

The blinds in the middle should be ordered as \u2018exact fit\u2019 to minimise the gaps between the fabric of each blind, and there should be enough space for them to be fitted together thanks to the deductions we\u2019ll make on the two blinds ordered as \u2018recess fit\u2019.<\/p>\n
