Sometimes you might just be having an off-day, get your centimetres and inches mixed up and end up with a blind that is nigh-on useless. With our Right-Size Guarantee we will take that blind back, remake it to the correct size for you and send it back, saving you from having to buy a totally new blind!

In fact, we’re so confident and proud of our blinds, we offer a 2 year warranty on all our blinds. This is one of the longest warranties available and a clear sign of the quality of our blinds.
Obviously, there are a few exclusions:
✖ Damage caused by poor installation/not following fitting instructions (don’t worry, installation is easy, read this.)
✖ Misuse or Failing to maintain the blind
✖ General wear and tear and fading (these blinds are exposed to very intense UV rays)
✖ Alteration to the blind
✖ Exposure to the elements or fitted in an unsuitable location (these are indoor blinds!)
However, if your blind stops functioning for any reasons other than those listed above, get in touch. Our warranty covers:
✔ Manufacturing defects
✔ Fabric/slat colour fading within a year
✔ Mechanical malfunction
✔ 2 year warranty on battery motors used in electric roller blinds
So, in summary, avoid grossly mistreating your blind, show it a little TLC every so often and don’t use it in ways it wasn’t intended. If you do all those things and something goes wrong with the blind, you’re golden – we’ve got you covered and we’ll and repair or replace it free of charge.

A fire retardant blind will only smoulder when presented with a flame and will self-extinguish once the heat source has been removed. This can be added to your fabric by selecting this add-on at the checkout
All our blinds come with child safe features as standard but some are inherently more child safe due to the deliberate removal of chains and cords.
This Blind is available for Next Day Delivery. Order before 11am to have it despatched the same day to be with you the very next working day. All you have to do is select ‘Next Day Delivery’ when you checkout and we’ll take care of the rest.
If you order after 11am, we’ll still process your order as a priority and despatch it the next working day to be with you the following working day, but we can’t guarantee that it will be with you the day after you place your order, unless we discover light-speed or time travel in the meantime!
Next Day Delivery only applies to selected blinds and isn’t applicable to other non-qualifying blinds ordered at the same time. If you’re located within the Channel Islands of the Scottish Highlands we’ll still despatch in super quick time but the couriers may take a little longer to get to you, so please allow 48 or 72 hours for delivery.Why order before 11am?

Electric Roller Blind Technical Specifications
Our roller blinds are made to the highest standards. They are made using an aluminium barrel and the fabric is locked into the barrel, holding it securely in place. Depending on the size of the blind and the weight of the fabric, our barrels can have a diameter of 32mm, 40mm or 45mm, which we select automatically when processing your order at no additional cost.
The bottom bar is covered with the fabric of the blind to muffle any sound it may make against objects on the window.
The brackets are white metal and can be used to face fix, top fix or side fixed and they come with white plastic brackets covers too. As standard the fabric of our roller blinds is back rolled, meaning it rolls off the back of the barrel, closest to the window.
There is a chance on a wider width roller blind that it may have a join in the fabric running horizontally near the top of the blind. For wide blackout blinds particularly, this join is welded to ensure no light can get through.Motor Technical Specifications
This 7.4v DC battery powered tubular motor comes with an inbuilt radio receiver. The tubular motor enables a 230v AC feed to power the motor which operates incredibly quietly. It has a noise level of 40dB and has a nominal speed of 30rpm. The remote control needs to be purchased separately and is not supplied with the blinds.
To protect the motor from overheating and to prolong the life of the product, the motor will cut out after more than four minutes of constant use to allow it to cool down.
By default the motor is located on the right-hand side of the blind, but this can be changed to the left side should you require – just get in touch after your order has been placed.
Overall the motor weighs 0.6kg and is enclosed within the barrel of the blind, meaning the blind can be cleanly installed with no added requirements needed to be accounted for. The only visible part is the end of the motor that has the charging port and the programme button and is roughly similar in size to that of a chain roller mechanism on the end of the barrel.
The optional extra solar panel charger is made from amorphous silicon panels with a scratch resistant high strength aluminium frame. It measures 375mm x 50mm x 3.2mm and is for indoor use only. This can be purchased separately in the Accessories section.
The solar panel can be mounted to brackets positioned 342mm apart and has a cable that is 2.3m which connects to the battery. In full sunlight, the battery will be full charged in 2 days, but a mains charger is supplied with all solar panels in case the battery needs faster charging or the area is particularly deprived of sunlight.

How to Install Battery Blinds
Installing a battery-operated electric roller blind is as easy as fitting any other roller blind in our range – drill two holes into the top or side of the recess if recess-fixing the blind, or in front of the recess or window if you’re face-fixing the blind. Insert the wall plugs and screw the bracket down and put the blind into the brackets. Due to the fact that the battery and motor and enclosed within the barrel of the blind, there is no need to make any further deductions or changes to your measurements to accommodate for it.
Programming your blind is simple. Once your blind has been installed, you will need to get the remote control and the motor to talk to each other, let the motor know where the top and bottom of the blind is, and set stop positions in between (optional). Your battery in the blind will come with some charge in it from the factory, but it typically takes four hours to fully charge the battery so put your feet up for a while to let it charge up some more.Step 1
First thing we need to do is pair the controller to the motor, think of it like connecting a bluetooth device to your phone (only it's not bluetooth and it's easier!)
Using a small, thin Phillips screwdriver or pin, press the “Prog” button on the motor and it will beep. This is located at the end of the blind near the wire, on the bottom, within a tiny hole (to avoid it being mistakenly pressed whilst in operation). Press and hold the “Prog” button for one second and the blind will beep, this has taken the blind out of sleep mode, press the "Prog" button again for one second and the blind will shunt once (a sort of judder!), the shunt tells you that the motor is now in program mode.
On the remote control press the ‘Down’ button, and the motor will shunt once again. You have successfully paired the remote to your blind.Step 2
Now that you have a paired controller and you’ve woken up the motor, it’s time to take that bad boy out for its first test run! Test that the blind is rolling in the correct direction by pressing the down button. Did the blind start to unroll? If it did then excellent your blind knows up from down! Skip the rest of this step and go straight to Step 3. If the blind starts to go up when you press the down button on the remote then it's inverted and we just need to switch it round (which is a piece of cake)!
Press and hold the ‘Stop’ button in the centre of the remote for five seconds, and the motor will shunt once. Now, press the ‘Down’ button and the motor will shunt again. There you go – ‘Up’ is up and ‘Down’ is… well, you get the gist.Step 3
This is the step where you tell the blind where the top and bottom of the window is, and therefore where it needs to stop every time you want it to open or close. This is called a ‘Stop Position’.
Press and hold the ‘Prog’ button on the reverse of the remote for one second. The motor will shunt once. The first ‘Stop Position’ you are going to set is the top, so press the ‘Up’ and ‘Down’ button on the remote until the blind is in the spot where you would like it to stop when it is open. Once you’re happy with where it is, press and hold ‘Prog’ on the reverse of the remote for one second to save the ‘Top Stop Position’. If there is no action from you within 30 seconds the motor will exit the ‘Stop Position’ preparation mode automatically.Step 4
Now we’re cooking with gas! Look at you go, setting up your ‘Stop Positions’. Now, you need to repeat Step 3 to tell the blind where to stop at the bottom of the window, and then set them for any ‘Stop Positions’ you’d like in between. Maybe a half-open-half-closed setting for those moments of indecisiveness, or perhaps a low ‘Stop Position’ to block the sun from blinding you at five in the afternoon. You have up to four more Stop Positions between the top and bottom to enjoy, so what are you waiting for?! Setting additional intermediate stops isn't a must, it's completely a "personal thing", but you must have a top and bottom stop set.Step 5
We know what it can be like – you live with your ‘Stop Positions’ for a week and decide that actually, you didn’t quite get it to stop in the right place. No worries – here’s the quick fix for fine tuning your ‘Stop Position.’
Let the motor run to the ‘Stop Position’ that you want to fine tune. Press and hold the ‘Prog’ button on the reverse of the remote for one second, until the motor shunts. Within seven seconds the motor will shunt again, indicating that the ‘Stop Position’ has been cleared and you’re free to set your new ‘Stop Position.’ This is only applicable to the intermediate stops, if you ever want to reset the top and bottom stops you'll need to perform a factory reset as shown in Step 5.Step 6
This step is pretty final, so unless you want to reset the motor to the factory settings, don’t do this!
Press and hold the ‘Prog’ button on the motor for seven seconds and the motor will beep once and shunt. When the motor beeps again after seven seconds, the memory has been cleared.
Alternatively, you can reset the motor this way: Press and hold the ‘Stop’ button on the remote for five seconds, until the motor shunts once. Press and hold the ‘Prog’ button on the reverse of the remote for seven seconds, within 10 seconds of pressing the ‘Stop’ button. The motor will shunt once. After seven seconds, the motor will shunt twice, indicating that the memory has been cleared.
And there you have it: you’ve programmed your DotcomBlinds blind and you’re all set to enjoy your blind in electrical bliss.
‘Why do I have to do this?’
‘Can't you have done it for me when you made my blind?’
Good point and the short answer is yes! However, knowing where you want to set your stops is a completely personal thing and if we did it for you then it could cause you frustration when installing and operating the blind and you'd end up performing a factory reset and doing it yourself! Instead we test every motor and controller and then in the final stage of testing, we reset them. This means we have peace of mind knowing that all's good and you'll be able to set it up the way you want.
