Thermal Roman Blinds

Roman Blinds are a fantastic way to insulate your home, providing both style and practicality. By selecting the 'Thermal Lining' option on the product page, your blinds will come with a thick fabric backing attached, which acts as a barrier between the glass and your room. This helps to keep the warmth inside during the winter and the heat out during the summer, resulting in a comfortable living space while reducing energy costs.

In addition to their insulating properties, thermal Roman Blinds also offer a stylish and versatile window dressing option. With a wide range of materials, colors, and patterns to choose from, you can easily find the perfect blinds to complement your decor.
So, how do thermal Roman Blinds actually work? Simply put, anything in your window will improve insulation by creating a barrier. However, our thermal blinds are made from slightly thicker fabric, which reduces the amount of air moving from the room to the glass and vice versa. By disrupting this convection current, the warmth remains inside the room, while the cold stays close to the glass.

During summer, all blinds offer a great solution for creating shade. Thermal Roman Blinds work in reverse during the hottest months, preventing heat from entering the room and keeping it cool. This barrier also blocks harmful UV rays from entering, protecting your furniture from fading or damage.

Measuring and installing thermal Roman Blinds is a straightforward process, no more complicated than assembling flat pack furniture. For the perfect fit, measure three width and drop measurements at different heights across the window, and take the average width and drop to enter on the product page. If your blinds are going outside of a recess, click the 'exact' option and add some extra millimeters to the top and bottom on each side to minimize light entering around the edges. If going within the recess, click 'recess' and we'll make all the relevant deductions for brackets, but you may want to deduct 5mm from the width to achieve a snug fit.
