We recommend reading the terms and conditions before purchasing the Right Size Guarantee.

Buying curtains online is the most straight forward way to buy curtains. Browse our website and order free curtain fabric samples to see the fabric in person and to get a feel for the colours and patterns. Once you’ve chosen the fabric you’re almost ready to order!

Measuring, Fitting & Installing Your Curtains

Measuring for curtains is simple. If you have a curtain pole or track, just measure the width, excluding the finials. If you have not got a track or pole, measure the width of the window space and then add 30cm to the width to ensure there are 15cm either side of the window. For the drop, measure you want the curtain to end 1.5cm above the floor, 15cm below the windowsill or 2-3cm above a radiator or 1.5cm above a windowsill.

Every pair of curtains will come with instructions to help you prepare them for the window, such as gathering the pleat, however it is incredibly simple and no different in method to any other way of fitting curtains.

Curtain Headers

You’ll just love the choice of headers we have available. A header is the top part of the curtain is partly dictated by the type of pole or track you have, and by your taste in curtain headers.

Eyelet Curtains

Eyelet curtains are probably one of the easiest ways to hang a curtain. The curtain will come with metal eyelets (in either gold, silver, gun metal or antique brass) in the header and you simply feed them over the pole. Remember to trap the last one between the finial and the bracket to hold the curtain in place when drawn.

Pencil Pleat Curtains

Pencil pleat curtains have nicely uniformed pleats equally spaced along the top of the curtain. This is suited to curtain tracks predominantly, but you can use this on poles with attachment loops attached to the rings. When your blind arrives it will be flat and you will need to form the pleats yourself. This is done by pulling the cord at the back, but you will need to follow the instructions that come with the curtain as we will not be able to fix the curtain if the cord snaps.

Double Pinch Pleat Curtains

A double pinch pleat curtain is a header type that is similar to the pencil pleat, but the fabric is gathered in a pinch at equal spaces along the header. Again this is formed through pulling a cord, and so it is imperative that you follow the instructions as we will not be able to fix it if the cord snaps or is pulled through the fabric.

Lining Options

We’re all about giving you choice, and with made to measure curtains you can choose almost every detail. Once you’ve picked your header, you pick the lining for the curtain. A curtain’s lining is the backing of the curtain fabric and will either be dimout or blackout.

Dimout Curtain Lining

A dimout curtain lining means that light will be able to pass through the fabric, but piercing beams of light are diffused. Your room won’t be in total darkness with this lining, but light levels will be reduced. This curtain lining is ideal for those who want to perhaps prevent glare on TV or computer screens during the day, but not cast the room into a night-like darkness.

Blackout Curtain Lining

A blackout curtain lining will block all light from passing through the curtain. This lining is perfect for bedrooms and areas where it is imperative to stop light. Naturally, light may still pass around the edges of the curtain, and this is to be expected.

Optional Extras

We know you’re going to fall in love with your curtains, the vibrancy of the colours and patterns and the bespoke nature that just projects quality. So we have now made it possible to buy matching made to measure Roman Blinds in the same fabric, matching curtain tie backs and cushion covers.

Curtain Tie Backs

We sell our curtain tie backs separately to our curtains and are made to measure. Buying curtain tie backs is so simple. Just find the tiebacks that match your curtain, select the size and add them to your basket.

Cushion Covers

In matching fabrics, our cushion covers allow you to enjoy your fabric further into the room. We offer them in two sizes and with a choice of plain as standard or with piped edging. The covers are unfilled and so you’ll need to have a cushion to go inside this cover.

Roman Blinds

We have a whole selection of Roman Blinds in matching fabric to the curtains, and this really allows you to diversify your window decorations whilst maintaining a strong theme throughout each room, or perhaps for windows where curtains aren’t applicable. Browse our Roman Blinds here
