Measuring, Fitting & Installing Your Curtains

Measuring for new curtains doesn’t need to be complicated. If you already have a pole or track, measure the width excluding the finials. If you don’t yet have one, measure the window space and add around 30cm to the width, giving roughly 15cm either side for better coverage.

Lining Options

Lining changes how your curtains feel and perform in a room, so it’s well worth choosing based on the space. Once you’ve selected your double pleat header, you’ll be able to choose from two lining options:

–Dimout Curtain Lining

Dimout lining reduces glare and softens harsh daylight, helping create a more comfortable level of light. It’s a great choice for rooms where you still want brightness, just without the “full spotlight” effect.

–Blackout Curtain Lining

Blackout lining blocks light from passing through the fabric, making it ideal for bedrooms and spaces where you want maximum light control. As with all curtains, a small amount of light may still come in around the edges – totally normal and expected.
