Yes, you read that right, we may be called DotcomBlinds but we now have excellent made to measure curtains in stock ready for you to buy. Perfect for those who like variety or prefer curtains, but still want one of our excellent made to measure products.

We now have a new section on our website for curtains and have well over 100 different types of curtains stocked up and ready to be made for you, with a variety of different lining options, patterns and colours, these new curtains are an excellent way to shade your home with style.

What Are Made To Measure Curtains?

For those who don’t know, curtains are a long piece of fabric made to block out or obscure light, which is hung over windows to keep light out and can be open and closed at your will. Really, curtains aren’t too dissimilar from other window treatments like blinds.

The made to measure aspect of these curtains just mean that we make your curtain to the measurements that you provide to ensure that your new curtains will fit perfectly in or over your window and look amazing in whatever room you want to hang them in. We have guides made up for how to measure for your curtains and how to fit your curtains, with special attention made to keep them as simple as possible to avoid any mishaps.

We make our curtains in many different variations between fabric and colour, but we have three different headings for how the curtains hang that our excellent curtains are available in. We have Pencil Pleated Curtains, Double Pinch Pleat Curtains and Eyelet Curtains.

What Are Pencil Pleat Curtains?

Pencil pleat curtains (also known as top tape curtains) are a classic design for curtains and the standard heading for most curtains, where folds of fabric are gathered tightly at the top of the curtain to create a half cylinder shape that resembles a line of pencils. From the pleated header, the fabric then elegantly descends toward the floor.

The pencil pleat heading usually consists of three rows of string threaded through the pleat for it to attach to a hook on a curtain track or pole.

What Are Double Pinch Pleat Curtains

Double pinch pleat curtains have a timeless design that will add a splash of style and elegance to any room in your home. The fabric along the header of the curtains is made of pleats which are bunched up in groups of two which helps create a formal tailored look to the blinds and then from the double pleated header the fabric will gently flow down towards the floor.

From the pleats along the header there are hooks which can be used to connect your curtains to a curtain rail or alternatively, hook onto a curtain pole.

What Are Eyelet Curtains?

Eyelet curtains (also known as ring top curtains) are a modern, contemporary curtain heading intended for use with curtain poles. Eyelet headings give large delicate pleats at the top of the blinds and are called ‘eyelet headed curtains’ as they have large metal rings at the top of the curtains in place of normal header tape, this allows you to thread the curtain pole through the rings when hanging your curtain. For our Eyelet curtains, the metal rings are available in four colour variants: Gold, Silver, Gun Metal and Antique Brass.
