Looking at Cath Kidston

If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll know that DotcomBlinds have recently launched new ranges of Designer Blinds in our store, featuring blinds designed by some of the biggest and best British design houses.

When it comes to British designers, you can’t get much more iconic than Cath Kidston, which is why we’re so excited to have a range of blinds featuring some of Cath Kidston’s most iconic print designs. To celebrate the launch of our Cath Kidston blinds, we thought we’d shine a spotlight on everyone’s favourite British designer Cath Kidston!

The Story of Cath Kidston London

British Designer Cath Kidston opened her first shop in Holland Park (London) all the way back in 1994, selling embroidered tea towels and renovated furniture. As the store grew in popularity, Cath Kidston began designing her own patterns, which she used for her ranges of homeware and décor accessories.

Cath Kidston’s now iconic colourful designs drew influence from elements of classic British design, while also using hallmarks of British culture heavily in the designs, creating a unique, yet unmistakably British vibe recognised worldwide.

Since 1994, Cath Kidston and her designs have become a worldwide phenomenon, with designs emblazoned on everything from cushions, washbags, hand creams and now on designer window blinds from DotcomBlinds.

Now in 2023, Cath Kidston is still working as the creative Director for Cath Kidston London, being as involved in the creative process as she was back in the ‘90s but the company itself is now owned by iconic British retailer Next.
