Fine Tuning
As standard, our window blinds are awesome, and for many of our customers, this is just what they’re looking for. However, as a manufacturer and experts in made-to-measure blinds, we can offer you the chance to go further, fine-tuning your blind and customising it to meet your exact requirements.
Our fine-tuning options are all optional, and your blind will function perfectly without them, but if chain options, coloured bottom bars and chain lengths calculated to suit your installation height rock your world, read on! Below is an explanation for each option available on this blind, but remember, we’re only a quick call away if you have any questions.

Blind Name
If you’re ordering multiple blinds of a similar size and colour naming your blinds can be a handy way of identifying which one is which when coming to fit them. Enter a blind name or label and we’ll include this on the sticker of the packaging to help you identify it.

Install Height

Install Height
The installation height is the measurement from the floor up to where the brackets of the blind will be fitted.
If you’re fitting your blind higher than an “average” installation, you will need to tell us the installation height. Otherwise, the chain length will be too short to reach, and a new chain in a new size will be chargeable. We use the installation height measurement to decide how long the control chain, cord, crank handle or wand needs to be so that it is within reach for the user but also complies with child safety regulations. Use this field to let us know the installation height and we will deduct 1500mm from this to govern the drop length of the control. Please use the same measurement unit with which you are ordering the blind.

Direction of Roll
As standard, our blinds are Standard Rolled. The fabric falls from the back of the blind, meaning the fabric will be close to the window. Reverse Roll makes the fabric fall from the front of the blind, which can be handy if you're trying to avoid window handles etc as well as being purely aesthetical. If you have a preference you can let us know!

How to Measure for Your EasyTwist No Drill Roller Blind

No drills means no second chances — so accurate measuring really matters. Follow these steps and you’ll be sorted in no time.

Inside the Recess (the only way these blinds work!)

To get the right fit for your EasyTwist No Drill Roller Blind, accurate measuring is everything – especially at the top of your recess, where the blind will slot neatly into position.

Start by measuring the width at the very top of the recess – from left to right (or right to left if that floats your boat!). This is the most important width measurement you’ll take, as it determines how securely the blind will hold in place.

Then move on to the drop, measuring in three places: left, centre, and right. Recesses can shift over time, so always provide us with the shortest of those three measurements.

A quick word of warning: don’t make any deductions to your measurements. We’ll take care of those in production. If you trim anything off, your blind might not fit snugly – and that’s a headache nobody needs!

One last tip: use a metal tape measure. It keeps things accurate, consistent, and fuss-free. Trust us – it’s worth it.

Note: We always manufacture to the full blind width, not the fabric width. The fabric itself will be around 45mm to 47mm narrower to allow for brackets and control components.

EasyTwist Recess Diagram

Outside the Recess (err... That could be interesting!)

Thinking of fitting these blinds outside the recess? Lovely idea – but not this time.

EasyTwist No Drill Roller Blinds are designed specifically to fit inside a window recess. No drills, no screws – just a smart, secure hold that relies on your blind being supported within the recess itself. If your window doesn’t have one, this probably isn’t your match made in window-blind heaven.

Got Questions? We’ve Got Humans!

Not quite sure you’ve got it right? Window recess looking suspiciously wonky? Or just want to double-check before you press that order button? Give us a shout! Our friendly team is here to help – real humans, no robots, and definitely no waiting on hold. We’re happy to talk you through it and make sure everything’s spot on before you buy.

Don’t Forget Your Free Samples

It’s the easiest way to make sure your chosen colour and texture look just as good in your home as they do on screen. No pressure, no guesswork – just a sample straight to your door, for free. Order yours today and make your final decision with confidence.

Fitting Your EasyTwist No Drill Roller Blind

No drills. No screws. No stress. Your EasyTwist blind is designed for a smooth, secure fit using one clever locking mechanism — and just a little technique.

What’s in the box?

  • Your EasyTwist Chain Operated Roller Blind (with brackets pre-fitted)
  • A self-adhesive child safety cleat

Before You Begin

Wipe the top inside surface of your window recess. That’s where the blind grips, so make sure it’s clean, dry, and free from dust or grease for best results.

EasyTwist Blind Diagram

Step-by-Step Fitting Guide

1. Angle it in
Start with the EasyTwist locking side (the end opposite the chain). Raise this end slightly higher and insert it into the top of the recess at a slight angle. The spring-loaded mechanism will compress as you push it into place.
Before inserting, make sure the EasyTwist locking wheel is turned so it’s positioned closer to the wall — this loosens the spring and makes installation easier.

2. Push and pivot
With the EasyTwist locking end pressed against the recess wall, raise the chain control end upwards into place. The blind should now sit at the top of the recess. Take a moment to ensure it’s level both across the top and in line with the window — this sets you up for a secure, neat finish.

3. Twist to lock
Once everything is level and in position, turn the EasyTwist dial towards the blind (away from the wall) to expand the bracket and lock the blind in place. This action pushes the bracket firmly against the recess, creating a secure brace to hold the blind steady.
No tools, no screws — just an EasyTwist for a secure fit.

4. Test the hold
Give the blind a gentle pull. It should feel secure and steady. If not, untwist, adjust the position, and try again — sometimes a few millimetres makes all the difference.

Child Safety — Still No Drills

Every chain-operated EasyTwist blind includes a self-adhesive safety cleat to keep your control chain tidy and safe — no screws needed.

To fit:

  • Clean the surface (wall or window frame) where the cleat will go
  • Peel off the adhesive backing
  • Stick the cleat firmly in place, ideally 150cm from the floor
  • Wrap the chain around the cleat to keep it safely tensioned

Job done. No tools, no hassle — just a safer home in seconds.

With our Right-Size Guarantee we will take that one blind back, remake it to the correct size for you and send it back, saving you from having to buy a totally new blind! The Right Size Guarantee covers all made-to-measure blinds and curtains except our Cassette Blinds.

Free Samples?

Free samples are available on all of our fabrics and slats. Simply click the ‘order free sample’ button.

When you’re ready, checkout – delivery is free too – and relax, our samples will be on their way to you in no time. Why order samples?

We always recommend ordering samples to ensure you fall in love with the fabric or slat. You can hold a sample in your hands, feel the fabrics, the weave and see the opacity before your very eyes, something you can’t recreate online.

We’ve made every effort to accurately portray the fabric realistically, but you can never be too careful.

We pride ourselves on the speed with which we can get your free fabric samples to you. We send your samples with first class delivery to be with you the very next day. We often dispatch them the same day you place your order (and most certainly by the next working day if you order after hours or on the weekend). With our fast free fabric sample delivery, you’ll be one step closer to shading your home with some of our fabulous blinds in no time at all!

Child Safety

Ensuring our products are child-safe is a priority for all of us at DotcomBlinds. As a result, our blinds are child-safe by design, with built-in safety mechanisms to help reduce the risk of an accident. These mechanisms specific to roller blinds are:
All chains provided with our products are made at a maximum length of one metre
Chain tensioners (or p-clips as they're also known) are supplied with every chain operated blind to hold the chain out of the way of children

We offer Child Safe Plus features with some of our roller blinds, which are known as crank-operated roller blinds which a cordless means of operating the blind.

Our crank-operated roller blind option replaces the chain with a detachable crank handle that hooks onto the mechanism and is turned, lowering or raising the blind as it goes. The crank handle can be unhooked and put out of reach of children and ultimately removes any chance of loops which are the biggest risk-potential when it comes to blinds.

We also offer an electric blind option which means the roller blind is controlled by remote control. Again, this removes any chains or cords and also makes operating a blind more convenient.

If you have any questions about child safety and our blinds, please do not hesitate to get in touch, we're always happy to help.

EasyTwist No Drill vs Traditional Drilled Roller Blinds: Which One’s Right for You?

Choosing between our EasyTwist No Drill and traditional drilled roller blinds? You’re not alone! With both options available across our full roller blind range, it’s all about finding the right fit for your space and lifestyle.

Let’s take a look at what sets these two styles apart – and how to pick the one that’ll make your windows look brilliant.

What are EasyTwist No Drill Roller Blinds?

Our EasyTwist No Drill blinds are designed to pop into place without a screwdriver in sight. They grip securely within your window frame – no drills, no mess, no DIY dramas.

Why go EasyTwist?
  • No tools required – Install in minutes, not hours.
  • No damage to your walls or frames – Perfect for renters or anyone in a no-drill zone.
  • Ideal for uPVC windows – Especially in kitchens, bathrooms or new builds.
  • Easily removable – Great if you’re switching things up or moving out.
Things to keep in mind:
  • Best suited for standard window sizes.
  • Not designed for ultra-wide or heavy blinds.
  • Slightly more visible brackets compared to drilled blinds.
What are Traditional Drilled Roller Blinds?

The classic choice – these blinds are fitted using brackets screwed into the wall or window recess. Tried, tested, and totally dependable.

Why choose drilled blinds?
  • Rock-solid installation – Ideal for larger or heavier blinds.
  • Sleek, flush fit – Brackets sit close to the frame for a polished finish.
  • Maximum versatility – Works on almost any surface or window type.
  • More fabric and size options – Go big, go bold, go blackout!
Considerations:
  • You'll need a drill and a bit of DIY confidence.
  • Not ideal for rental properties or delicate surfaces.
