Thermal BiFold Door Blinds

What are Thermal BiFold Door Blinds and how do they work? How do you measure and install them? Do they work in the summer?

Thermal BiFold Door Blinds are pleated blinds that come in a variety of colors and are designed to insulate your room by creating a barrier between the glass and the room, thus keeping the warmth inside and the cold out. The honeycomb-shaped blackout fabric creates a dual layer of fabric with air in between, which improves insulation by providing a barrier against the cold. Both fabrics are also solar reflective, bouncing out sunlight and keeping the room cool in the summer months.

Measuring and installing these blinds is quite easy. To measure, push the corner of a credit card into the rubber gasket around the window pane, and if you can get the card under the gasket, the window is suitable for pleated blinds. Measure from one end of the rubber gasket to the other end for the width and do the same for the drop measurements. Don’t make deductions, as they will be done for you. To install, push one tab on the headrail under the rubber gasket, then the second, and push up to the top of the window. Repeat this with the bottom bar and push down to the bottom of the window. No hammers, drills, screws or nails needed!
