‘Rustic’ and ‘Cottagecore’ are two styles that have been making waves this year, after spending the last few years in lockdown. People are yearning for a free-feeling lifestyle and they’re taking inspiration from country living when decorating their homes to give a feeling of openness and freedom.

Cottagecore is really just an extension of rustic, but focusing more on romanticised aspects of pre-industrial agricultural living, which is why Cottagecore is also referred to as ‘Farmcore’ in some circles.
