Recess Fit Blinds

A window recess, also known as a reveal, ingo or surround, is where a window is set back into a wall, often creating a window sill. The blind and the window doesn’t protrude into the room, if anything it is set further back from the room. A blind can be installed within this recess, generally by attaching the brackets to the top.A recess fit blind means you supply us with the width and drop of your recess – from top to bottom and wall to wall. We make deductions to account for the brackets to ensure your blind fits within the recess perfectly.

Exact Fit Blinds

An exact fit blind is often installed outside of a recess, or when a recess is not present. An exact fit blind is usually face fixed, meaning it is installed to the wall instead of the ceiling, although our brackets allow either. An exact fit blind means we won’t make any deductions to the width or drop measurements. Exact fit is the bracket to bracket measurement. The size you give us is the size your blind is made to. If your blind is going outside of a recess or if a recess isn't present, add 100mm to the overall width measurement and 140mm to the overall drop measurement to ensure the blind is wider and longer than the window to prevent light from shining around the edges.

The control that operates this blind can be located on either the left or right-hand side of the blind.
